1. Overview and account model
BetterMeAndCat is a self-management and virtual companion app. It does not require sign-in and does not upload core app content to a developer-operated server.
2. Information stored locally
- Todo titles, notes, priorities, dates, and completion state.
- Habit definitions, form entries, ratings, and completion history.
- Focus topics, timing mode, duration, totals, and session records.
- Cat names, breeds, growth and care state, inventory, coins, unlocks, and action history.
- Language, animation, Live Activity, focus, and other preferences.
- Processed StoreKit transaction identifiers retained to avoid duplicate coin credit.
The app privacy manifest declares no collected data types and no tracking. Backup behavior depends on iCloud and device settings.
3. Widgets, Live Activities, and App Group
The main app shares a limited snapshot with its own widget extension through Apple's App Group container. This supports companion-cat, selected task, and habit displays.
You can change Live Activity visibility in the app. Apple controls the system presentation and lifecycle of widgets, Lock Screen, and Dynamic Island content.
4. Optional permissions
- Screen Time / Family Controls is requested only after you enable Reduce Distractions. System-generated anonymous app and web-domain tokens maintain the allowlist during a focus session.
- Notifications are requested when a focus completion reminder is needed.
- Keep Screen Awake applies only while enabled and a focus timer is running.
The app does not access contacts, camera, microphone, or location and does not connect to a third-party weather service.
5. Apple StoreKit purchases
Optional consumable coin packages are loaded and purchased through Apple StoreKit. Apple processes payment, App Store account, billing, tax, and transaction information.
After StoreKit verifies a transaction, the app credits coins locally and stores the transaction identifier to prevent duplicate credit. The app does not receive raw payment-card information.
6. Retention, deletion, and control
You can edit or delete todos, habits, and history in Settings & Data. Reset can clear cats, coins, inventory, actions, focus, and history. Uninstalling removes ordinary local data, subject to iOS backup and restoration behavior.
You can turn off Reduce Distractions, revoke Screen Time or notification permission in system settings, and change Live Activity visibility.

Focus duration, snack entries, prices, and similar information are entered or estimated for self-management. They are not medical, nutritional, financial, or consumer advice.

3. 小组件、灵动岛与 App Group
主 App 会通过 Apple App Group 容器向自己的小组件扩展共享有限快照，用于展示陪伴猫咪、所选待办与习惯。
您可以在 App 内调整灵动岛展示；小组件、锁屏与灵动岛内容的系统展示和生命周期由 Apple 控制。
4. 可选权限
- 屏幕使用时间 / Family Controls 仅在您开启“减少干扰”后请求。系统生成的匿名应用与网站标识用于在专注期间维护白名单。
- 需要发送专注完成提醒时请求通知权限。
- 屏幕常亮仅在主动开启且专注计时运行时生效。
App 不访问通讯录、相机、麦克风或位置，也不连接第三方天气服务。
5. Apple StoreKit 购买
可选的消耗型金币商品通过 Apple StoreKit 加载并购买。付款、App Store 账户、账单、税费和交易信息由 Apple 处理。
StoreKit 验证交易后，App 在本地发放金币，并保存交易标识符以避免重复入账。App 不会取得原始银行卡信息。
6. 保留、删除与控制
您可以在“设置与数据”中编辑或删除待办、习惯和历史内容。重置可清理猫咪、金币、库存、行动、专注及历史。卸载 App 会移除一般本地数据，但可能受 iOS 备份与恢复机制影响。
您可以关闭“减少干扰”，在系统设置中撤销屏幕使用时间或通知权限，并调整灵动岛展示。

专注时长、零食记录、价格等信息由用户记录或估算，仅用于自我管理，不构成医疗、营养、金融或消费建议。
